Mogghill House Preschool was established in 1974 and relocated to St Benedict's School in September 2013. The classroom is light and airy with access to a covered outdoor canopy play area; there is also a small enclosed outdoor courtyard area as well as a large enclosed playground which includes climbing apparatus; from the playground there is access to a field.
Staff are well qualified and very experienced, caring for children aged 2-4+. The children receive a program suited to their ages and based on the Early Years Foundation Stage. There is a high staff to child ratio allowing children to receive individual attention. Mogghill Nursery has consistently achieved good Ofsted reports with outstanding results in some areas, and is one of Somerset's approved preschools.
There is a wide range of toys to explore and investigate and the children are encouraged to participate in art and craft sessions and to join in music sessions. Children are encouraged to become independent and make choices for themselves through free play. Small group activities help children acquire skills necessary for school.
